Welcome to the Spellman Council Web Site

Welcome to Spellman Council #6107, Knights of Columbus. The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal order of Catholic men founded by Father Michael J. McGivney. From its humble beginnings on October 2, 1881, with a handful of men in the basement of St. Mary Church, New Haven, Connecticut, the K of C has grown to become a worldwide organization based on four principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
Francis Cardinal Spellman Council #6107 of Colchester, Connecticut, was chartered on September 15, 1968, by the Supreme Council, Knights of Columbus, to a group of 48 men from St. Andrew Church and St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, Colchester, Connecticut. Our Charter Grand Knight was Edward Kocan and our Charter Chaplain was Rev. Peter Ohirko. Spellman Council meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM in the St. Andrew Parish Center. LONG MAY IT WAVE

Do you have a good Idea for our Council?

The Officers want this Council to be the best it can be. We are looking for some fresh ideas to attract and keep members coming regularly to our monthly business and social meetings. What would you like to see happen at these meetings? What would it take for you to come and join us once a month for an evening of fellowship with your brother Knights? If you want something to change then we need your input
